A new direction is emerging in Lois’s paintings as she explores the anthocyanin content in food. Anthocyanin, the pigment found particularly in berries, has huge health benefits and the new paintings question the pros and cons of testing transgenic mice with genetically engineered tomatoes with enhanced anthocyanin levels similar to that found in blueberries.
